Christian Thought and Praxis
A setting free, which compels one to act in a manner befitting a freed-person, namely: generous and kind.
A four-year core class for all Narthex learners,
Christian Thought and Praxis is an invitation into
a moral imagination for flourishing.
Like all Narthex endeavors, this class extends beyond reading texts on church history, Scripture, and spiritual formation.
Christian Thought and Praxis also bids Narthex members to participate in local church communities, reflect on the witness of Christ’s body through the ages, and practice spiritual disciplines offered by church fathers & mothers.
At the end of their first year, learners prayerfully consider committing themselves in service and learning to a local congregation for the duration of their Narthex journey. In subsequent years, Narthex members learn to lean on their church community for guidance on faithful living, Scriptural interpretation, and spiritual direction.
